Hive Dive @ Prospect Park Zoo

Have you ever seen the magic that goes on inside a beehive? Immerse yourself in this rare opportunity to learn the secrets of bee society. Say hello to the Queen Bee, meet the gentle worker bees making honey, and see firsthand that bees are gentler than you may have imagined! Led by The Bee Conservancy’s staff beekeepers, the dive will give an up close and personal view of colony life in TBC’s Bee Sanctuary at Prospect Park Zoo.
You will leave the experience with a deeper appreciation for the tireless honey bees, which pollinate 1 in 3 bites of food we eat. You’ll also learn ways that you can help all of the bees and pollinators in your neighborhood.
The Hive Dive will start at 12pm, directly following the 11:30am sea lion feeding on the Discovery Trail, across from the Dingos and adjacent to a public. For more information about getting to the zoo and tickets, please see Prospect Park Zoo, Know Before You Go.
