The Bee Conservancy invites you to our 3rd annual World Bee Day festival — a FREE family-friendly day that celebrates the 20,000+ bee species that pollinate 80% of the world’s flowering plants!

Join us to discover the fascinating world of ground- and cavity-nesting bees, learn how to build sustainable pollinator habitats, and everyday actions you can take to save the bees.

Hosted at our flagship Bee Sanctuary site on Governors Island, we offer fun, educational programming including a look inside a honey bee hive, a Birds and Bees guided walk with NYC Audubon, native bee chats, honey tastings, and more!  Activities for kids will include storytime readings of our new comic book “Bee a Buddy,” nature crafts, and a scavenger hunt. Our Urban Farm neighbors GrowNYC will offer bee crafts and Earth Matter will host a Seed Ball Making Station.

Enjoy complimentary gift bags and goodies from our sponsor, Zarbee’s, on a first-come, first serve basis.
