The Bee Conservancy is popping up at the Oculus Greenmarket Tuesday, September 20th during NYC Climate Week!

Learn about the keystone species that pollinates many of the market’s tasty fruits and vegetables, and dive into our organization’s mission to protect bees, safeguard the environment, and secure food justice.

At this event, there will be free, family-friendly activities including:

  • “Always Bee Learning” tools for kids: coloring sheets, microscopes, specimens, books, and more.
  • Bee “Flash Cards” that help you distinguish bees from each other, as well as wasps and other look-alikes.
  • Opportunities to engage in community science right in New York City with the iNaturalist app.

More about this event:

  • This takes place outdoors at a farmer’s market.
  • The Bee Conservancy hours will be 11am-2pm

Join Our Community Science Project!

Transform the landscape of pollinator science with just a snap of a photo!

We invite you to download the iNaturalist app on your phone in advance of this event so you can participate in a special community science activity. Together, we will find and photograph pollinators at play in the local ecosystem, sharing vital data on the app to advance the research of over one million scientists.
