For an exciting talk from The Bee Conservancy! We will be taking a deep dive into the world’s 20,000 bee species, the threats that impact them, the habitats that support them, and impactful steps you can take to help them thrive. Get to know some of the species found buzzing around NYC’s parks, and arm yourself with tools to engage and inspire others in bee conservation.

About The Hosts

The Bee Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting bees, safeguarding the environment, and securing food justice through community-based education, research, habitat creation, and advocacy. TBC currently runs eight Bee Sanctuaries across New York City. The Bee Conservancy’s Hive Dive will be led by our staff beekeepers who maintain the zoo’s honey bee hives.
This event is hosted by hosted by the education department of Brooklyn Bridge Park. The conservancy plays a vital role in creating and energizing this community-focused, world-class urban oasis on the Brooklyn waterfront. A 501(c)3 non-profit, we bring this unique park space to life with more than 500 innovative and engaging educational, cultural, fitness and recreational programs each year. Our free and low-cost events create new and exciting opportunities for tens of thousands of NYC residents and visitors to learn, grow, and experience all that Brooklyn Bridge Park has to offer.
