Bee A Volunteer
July 23, 2023 @ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm UTC+0
Join us on Governors Island for our monthly Native Plant Days, from May through October!
Eager to get your hands in the soil? Curious about the relationship between plants and pollinators?
Join TBC’s Volunteer Hour for some fun in the sun and learn about native plants at our Bee Sanctuary on the Governors Island Urban Farm.
TBC’s Habitat Specialist will lead the group through a walk and talk, to learn about our native plant beds and the pollinators they support. Then, participants will engage in hands-on gardening activities that support our pollinator habitat. Discover the wonders of ground and cavity nesting bees, pollen and nectar sources, and the co-evolution of plants and pollinators!
